Projects

This is a selection of things I’ve worked or I’m working on:

  • TACO-Dtn: a Time-Aware COntent Base messaging system for delay-tolerant networks I created during my MSc project. It lead to an international publication.
  • MarkerClusterer 2.0: an improvement of the standard MarkerClusterer API for Google Maps to allow for smarter labelling of clusters. It was then accepted into the official distribution.
  • NHS Death Rates maps: using MarkerClusterer and NHS mortality rates, I published a map of hospital safety. This was very interesting as it was done in very early days for Open Data, when data were simply released on a web page.
  • MollyProject: I’m a contributor to the Oxford University-initiated mobile portal framework project. I’ve project-managed and lead its implementation and deployment for St. George’s University of London.
  • LiveRugbyApp: an Android and iOS app, this is my first attempt at doing business merging two of my passions, mobiles and rugby. It’s also a very interesting learning experience, as I’ve been managing the whole life cycle of the project, from contacts with the data supplier to marketing and press.
  • St George’s University Data Portal: I’m leading the research and development of St George’s Open Data repository, releasing a wide range of data going from administrative to research and medical statistics.
